ACCESS Mentoring

The ACCESS (Advocates Creating Conversations that Engage and Support Students) Mentoring Program connects new students to the UNT community, encourages the use of campus resoruces, and promotes four-year graduation. Students in the program are paired with a peer mentor and attend meetings throughout the school year. The program connects new students to the UNT community though programs on campus.

First year students can greatly benefit from having a peer mentor their first year. Peer mentors serve as a resource and point of contact should a problem arise. While the peer mentor may not be equipped to solve all issues that new students face, they are highly trained and can offer referrals to support students as they navigate the college experience. Mentoring is open to all students at UNT.

Applications to participate in mentoring for the 2024-2025 school year will be available beginning in June.
