Eagle E.D.G.E.

Eagle E.D.G.E. (Education, Diversity, Growth, and Effectiveness) includes nine weeks of instruction for 1.5 hours each week during fall and spring semesters only. The class meets from 3:30 – 4:50 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but you get to sign-up for which day works best for your schedule. You will receive training in different areas (see "Lessons and Activities" section for more details) that current supervisors see as necessary skills for candidates seeking peer leadership/mentor positions at UNT.

There is a homework component per session that students are required to complete each week on Blackboard. The assignments are not difficult or lengthy, just simply designed to give students an opportunity to reflect and respond to the topic discussed each week.

The final week, students are required to take a test on information retained. You will also get a certificate of completion! From there, the graduates' names will be forwarded to on-campus employers who hire peer leaders.

The great part about Eagle E.D.G.E. is that there is NO FEE to take the course! It's completely FREE!

Spring 2012 classes start January 31st and February 1st.

Are you intersted in more leadership development? The Eagle E.D.G.E. certification program partners with the Certified Leadership Series to provide students a comprehensive leadership development experience.
