The UNT Center for Leadership and Service inducted 82 students into the inaugural chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) on December 5. The NSLS is the nation’s largest leadership honor society, with 586 chapters and 804,586 members nationwide. It offers life-changing lectures from the nation’s leading presenters and a community where like-minded, success-oriented individuals come together and help one another succeed.

More than 2,000 invitations were sent to sophomore students who had at least a 3.0 GPA, and 250 plus accepted. Keynote speaker Elizabeth With, vice president for student affairs, empowered the inductees to strive to make a difference and to be proud of paving the way for the organization for years to come at UNT.

Students were praised for their hard work, and Matthew Ellis summed up the event by exclaiming, “The NSLS has in such a short time already made me a better person.”

The Center for Leadership and Service is elated to bring this new organization to campus and looks forward to all the great work they will do in the campus community.
