UNT Receives CATEE Award for Contributing to Clean Air
UNT received the CATEE Award (Clean Air Through Energy Efficiency) at the Texas Energy Summit in the Outstanding Government Organization Category. The award recognizes exemplary achievement contributing to clean air through energy efficiency, water efficiency and renewable energy.
Student leadership impacting these areas through the We Mean Green Fund was highlighted in UNT’s application, including UNT Goes GreenSense, the LEED Intern Program and the Solar Trailer.
“The award really is a prestigious honor that shows how students can impact sustainability in significant ways at UNT,” said Gary Cocke, advisor for the We Mean Green Fund. “Student leadership helps to make us the progressive pacesetter in sustainability, which UNT strives to be.”
