Frisco Orientation

About Orientation

In order to assist you with your transition to UNT, all new students are required to attend an orientation session prior to enrolling in classes at UNT. During orientation, you will have the chance to meet with faculty and staff, connect with current students, learn about university resources, and receive academic advising in preparation for registering for classes. For students interested in taking classes at the UNT New College at Frisco, orientation is held at the Frisco location.

Based on the college and major you have selected in your application, you may be eligible to choose whether you would like to attend orientation on our Denton or Frisco campuses. If you plan on taking the majority of your classes in Frisco, the Frisco orientation may be more convenient for you. If you are unsure of where you will be taking most of your classes or plan on spending more time on the Denton campus, then a Denton campus orientation is best for you.

Specifically, students in the following majors are eligible to attend the Frisco campus orientation:

  • Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (B.A.A.S.)

  • Business Integrated Studies – Sport Management (BBA)

  • Consumer Experience Management (BS)

  • Integrative Studies – Strategic Corporate Communication (BS)

  • Interdisciplinary Studies - Early Childhood Education with ESL Certification (BS)

  • Kinesiology (BS)

  • Logistics & Supply Chain Management (BS)

  • Psychology (BA)

  • Recreation, Event, Sport Management (BS)
