Founders Day at DP

Food and festivities are the focus of the Founder’s Day as we celebrate UNT’s Birthday at DP in the DP Hallway. The UNT community is invited to dine on a barbecue and hear details from President Smatresk as it is Live Steamed so that everyone can join in on the celebration! Students, faculty, and staff must present their UNT ID at the event.

Greek Ambassadors
Program Intro Text:
The Greek Ambassador program is necessary to more adequately promote the true purpose of fraternity and sorority life. All Greeks, no matter the letter, strive to live by high standards set forth by an inter/national organization. The Greek Ambassador program seeks to educate the local and UNT communities about the benefits of Greek membership, while promoting change in false perceptions.

Greek Awards

The Greek Awards Ceremony is an annual tradition held to commemorate and honor excellence in performance, scholarship, service, and leadership in the previous year. Awards are based on a fraternity and sorority activity throughout each semester. Groups, as well as individual students, are recognized for their hard work, leadership, and progress from year to year.

Greek Community Board

The Greek Community Board is a student run programming body uniting the Greek community at UNT. The board’s main goal is to advocate for all Greek members, promote all Greek events, encourage Greek pride in letters, cultivate unity and diversity amongst all four councils.

Greek Emerging Leaders
Program Intro Text:
Held in the Fall and Spring semesters, the Greek Emerging Leaders class is geared towards any member of the Greek community who wants to learn more about and develop their leadership style, with a focus on the newer members of the chapters. The class is taught by the Greek Life and Center for Leadership and Service Graduate Assistants, who develop their curriculum around the book The Student Leadership Challenge by Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner.
