Telemedicine (Digital) Appointments

The SHWC offers several virtual services for students who are learning remotely or would prefer to receive services from the comfort of their own home. Ask when scheduling if your appointment is eligible to be a virtual visit.

Telemedicine will be used for appointments without lab testing. A provider may determine that a telemedicine appointment is inappropriate for the patient's situation and request the patient instead come to the clinic or seek outside medical treatment if not near Denton, Texas.  Also, due to legal restrictions, telemedicine appointments can only be utilized by students in the state of Texas at the time of the appointment.

Cost of Telemedicine Appointments

Telemedicine appointments may have an office visit charge or copay, depending on insurance benefits. Any office visit charge or copay should be paid before the virtual visit.
