Dear, DSA,
I am so glad we were able to meet as a Division on Wednesday. I look forward to the day we can gather in-person. I certainly miss seeing everyone’s faces!
As I shared with you on Wednesday, we have updates to our ongoing diversity and inclusion efforts including plans for a Center for Counseling Diverse Populations and programming for a stand-alone Multicultural Center both to begin this fall.
Please visit our newly launched Diversity and Inclusion website for the latest information.
This site will continue to expand and grow to reflect the work we are doing and to share resources.
I am so glad to see that some of you have ordered your diversity-related book. For those of you that haven’t yet, please take advantage of this resource and place your order.
I also ask that you complete the Diversity Training assessment by Friday, July 31. Everyone who completed the three online diversity trainings, should have received an email on July 6 requesting you respond to a brief questionnaire in order to measure the effectiveness of the trainings. All responses are confidential and cannot be traced to an individual. We will use your feedback to improve future training opportunities. If you completed the trainings and did not receive the email, contact DSAassessment@unt.edu.
As I have said before, this work is ongoing and vital to the success of our students, faculty and staff, and the larger community.
Thank you for your contributions to this important work!
Take care,
Elizabeth With, Ed.D.
Vice President for Student Affairs
