VP Message - Resources for finals and winter break

Thursday, Dec. 8, 2022

Dear Students,

As finals draw near, we want to share our gratitude for the many contributions you make to UNT. You are a vital part of our caring and diverse community.

The end of the year offers us all a chance to reflect on the semester and set goals for the future, but we know it also can present many challenges with a full to-do list looming. As a reminder, UNT offers a variety of resources to support you including the Learning Center, UNT Writing Center and the University Libraries. As a reminder, Academic Advising is available to you as well.

We hope you will take advantage of Friday’s Reading Day and make time for the Late Night Study Breakfast on Monday, Dec. 12 in the University Union.

This time of year brings joy, but it also can be fraught for some. If you or someone you know is facing mental health issues, please utilize our Counseling Services offering 24-hour assistance by calling 940-565-2741. You also can visit Speak Out UNT for additional resources.

Whether this marks the halfway point in your academic year, or you are graduating next week, we wish you the best as you continue your journey.

We hope the holiday break brings you rest, relaxation and the restoration you need!

Best wishes,

Dr. Elizabeth With
Senior Vice President for Student Affairs
