VP Message- Thank you to our Veterans- November 11th

Dear, DSA,

Happy Veterans Day to our soldiers, both past and present, and their families. You sacrifice so much to keep our country safe and strong.

Normally, Denton County holds a Veterans Day ceremony on the square, observing a moment of silence at 11 a.m. for those who made the ultimate sacrifice. That marks the time and date in 1918 — the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month — when the armistice to end World War I took effect. This year’s ceremony is in video form, and the moment of silence is at the 1:15 mark, if you would like to join me in synchronizing your watch.

To all of our veterans, we owe you our thanks, but more than that, we owe you our freedom.

Take care,

Elizabeth With, Ed.D.
