Dear DSA team,
Back in January when the semester began, none of us could have possibly imagined it ending this way. I know we all felt the absence of being able to celebrate our graduates in person this past weekend.
Thank you for persevering through this challenging time and rising to the occasion again and again.
As we move into our summer sessions, let’s continue to push ourselves to keep meeting our students where they are by innovating ways we can engage remotely and in-person when we can safely do so.
Please note we have adjusted the hours of our Parent and Family Hotline to Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. It can be reached at 844-366-5892.
If you haven’t already, please be sure to visit https://studentaffairs.unt.edu/reopening-plan to see the DSA Reopening Plan. This is a working document that will continue to evolve over the coming days and weeks.
If you know of staff members who are going above and beyond during this time, please email email@example.com describing their effort. We want to highlight some of these examples as we discuss how we have come together as a caring campus community to respond to this health crisis.
Kudos to Caitlin Edgar who was instrumental in organizing the food pantry and “food pantry to go.” Caitlin jumped in to make sure we served our students while taking all the necessary precautions.
Thank you to all of our essential staff who have remained on campus to serve our students! From our housing crews to our dining staff and the Student Health and Wellness Center folks to name a few, thank you for being there for our students, their families, and our faculty and staff.
Kudos to UNT Dining Services for being awarded the Gold Award for Best Vegan Recipe for Mean Greens Café’s Tomato Mushroom Curry by the National Associate of College & University Food Services.
Thank you for all of your hard work!
Elizabeth With Ed.D.
