The DSA Assessment team is comprised of two full-time staff members and two graduate assistants. Our team trained and poised to deliver assistance and training on best practices in data retrieval, analysis, and reporting. We are here to help you and your team operate as effectively and efficiently as possible in pursuing your department goals and stand ready to provide support ranging from passive resource sharing to hands-on capacity assistance to ensure you have what you need to be successful.

Sara Ousby is responsible for working with staff across the division to create a culture of excellence utilizing effective assessment practices and supports approximately 30 departments with planning, assessment, and reporting. She currently serves as the External Relations Chair for Student Affairs Assessment Leaders (SAAL) and is the NASPA Assessment, Evaluation, and Research Knowledge Community Chair for Region III.
Sam Williamson is assistant director to Sara, working towards the goal to make the division of student affairs at UNT a model for best practices in programmatic assessment. Specifically, he is responsible for the continued development of the division’s student learning outcomes process, increasing the team’s overall support capacities, and standardizing design of all the department creates and shares.
Shafayat Islam is a Graduate Assistant pursuing a M.S. in Business Analytics, working to support the department in analyzing data and creating reports to improve program knowledge and improvement across the division of student affairs. Shafayat has a passion for music and good conversation, and enjoys any opportunity to be able to listen to, advise, and help others.
Abbey Ziegler is a graduate student in the accounting 5-year BS/MS program. She came to UNT in the fall of 2018, and will graduate spring of 2022. She supports the team with data retrieval, analysis, and reporting. Previously, Abbey worked on campus as a Resident Assistant and a Supplemental Instructor. In her free time I enjoy hiking, running, and volunteering in my community.
