Fall 2022 Primary Recruitment

Panhellenic sororities participate in formal primary recruitment.  Primary recruitment is a week-long event that ends with Bid Day celebrations.  Incoming freshmen will have an opportunity to learn about Panhellenic Recruitment and each individual chapter through  New Student Orientation and First Flight Week.

Registration is REQUIRED to participate and early registration is highly encouraged.  Registration will open on April 1st and registration costs $50.  This registration fee goes towards reservations, recruitment software, and other supplies needed to conduct recruitment.

Fall 2022 Primary Recruitment will take place  August 25th - 29th, 2022. On August 24th, during First flight, registered potential new members will receive more information about the recruitment orientation within their confirmation email.

Panhellenic Continuous Open Bidding (COB).

The Fall 2022 Continuous Open Bidding period will begin August 30th for a select few chapters. Women that withdrew from the formal period prior to MRABA signing and women that have not participated in formal recruitment are eligible to participate. If you did not register for the formal recruitment period, please sign up here. Or scan the QR Code below:

Panhellenic Sorority Recruitment Book
The 2022 Recruitment Book contains a schedule, general membership and financial information, and suggestions on the appropriate attire for the Fall 2022 Primary Recruitment process.  This will be released at a later date.  You can access the book from Fall 2021 here.  Please note currently this schedule is subject to change.

Spring Panhellenic Sorority Recruitment Opportunities
UNT Panhellenic does not have formal or informal Spring recruitment. During the Spring semester chapters with membership opportunities will participate in a process referred to as Continuous Open Bidding (COB).  Chapters will individually host events or invite you to get to know the chapter. These events are usually casual and provide a fun and relaxed environment where you will be able to get to know one another before potentially joining the organization.

NOTE: Not all chapters will be participating in COB or have membership opportunities.  Feel free to contact the Center for Fraternity and Sorority Life or the Panhellenic VP of Recruitment of Retention for more information regarding COB.
**Chapters participating in COB will not be known until late Fall and closer to the Spring semester.

Panhellenic Interest Form

The Panhellenic Interest Form is used outside the time of Primary Recruitment to gather information from any current UNT student interested in learning more about Greek Life and specifically UNT Panhellenic. If there are membership opportunities for any chapter at any point in the semester we pass that information along.

If you are interested in providing your information to chapters please complete the Panhellenic Interest Form.  This form will be made available to all of the sororities participating in COB and allows them to know more about you. By notifying us of your interest in Panhellenic, you are consenting to the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life verifying your grades to determine your eligibility. The Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life minimum GPA requirement for membership is Incoming Freshmen - 2.75 (cumulative GPA) and Transfer/UNT Student - 2.5 (cumulative transfer or UNT GPA). Please know that some chapters may have a higher requirement.

It is important to know that not all chapters participate in COB. If you don't find a chapter you feel fits you, you can participate in Primary Recruitment in the Fall.

Recommendation Letters/Forms

You have the opportunity to submit a recommendation from an alumna member of that sorority before the sorority can offer her membership. A recommendation simply introduces a woman to a sorority to help the sorority members become acquainted with her prior to recruitment.  All recommendation letters/forms can be mailed directly to the individual chapter or to UNT Panhellenic for distribution to the chapter. Recommendation letters/forms are not required in order to participate in recruitment.
Each national sorority has its own guidelines and often its own recommendation forms that its alumna members must use. The UNT Panhellenic Association does not provide these forms nor any information regarding an individual sorority's recommendation requirements. If an alumna is not familiar with her own sorority's regulations, she should contact the national sorority.
