I earned my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Oklahoma State University and received a B.S. from the University of North Texas. I use Relational-Cultural Theory (RCT) as the foundation for my clinical work. I also utilize culture, education, equality, empowerment, and self-exploration to help students identify strengths and to promote active change. My professional interests include: ethnic identity, microaggressions, first-generation college students, media influence, the psychology of gender, LGBTQ issues, and trauma related to physical and sexual abuse. I currently serve as Multicultural/Diversity Coordinator and LGBTQ Liaison.
