Marilyn received a Master of Social Work Degree from Arizona State University, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and Family Science from Brigham Young University. Her clinical experience comes from settings in child welfare, community counseling centers, schools, and residential facilities. As a crisis counselor, Marilyn brings to Counseling and Testing services a passion for helping individuals in crisis find support and coping skills to deal with current challenges and find stability and growth. Her clinical interests include crisis, trauma, grief, anxiety, and depression. Marilyn believes therapy should be a safe space where healing can occur, and adopts a client-centered approach, utilizing therapeutic techniques that best meet each person’s unique needs. Personal interests include music, reading, writing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
