Updated January 13th, 2025: Construction is substantially completed and we are prepping the garden for a grand opening in March!

The UNT Community Garden is in the process of being relocated to behind Crumley Hall on Maple Steet, and the former Legends Garden is slated for deconstruction this semester. Keep an eye on this webpage for periodic updates, and email us at communitygarden@unt.edu for any questions!

Is the Community Garden really moving?

The Community Garden has been moved. The goal is to move to our new location South of Crumley Hall in Spring ’25. If all goes well, we will be set to open the new location in the spring growing season (beginning March 2025). Check back regularly for construction updates and photos.

What has taken so long?
Several circumstances can affect construction, from weather to scheduling. We’re hopeful that everything will remain on schedule and the Community Garden will move to our new location South of Crumley Hall in Spring ’25. Check back regularly for construction updates and photos.
Will there be a grand opening event?
We’re hopeful that everything will remain on schedule and the Community Garden will move to our new location South of Crumley Hall in Spring ’25. Once everything is moved, we’ll host a grand opening event tentatively planned for March 2025.
