As part of their acceptance of We Mean Green Fund grant money, all grantees agree
to follow established procedures and abide by all We Mean Green Fund Committee (WMGFC)
policies. Information regarding these requirements is described below.
All WMGF grantees must sign the appropriate Acceptance Agreement form prior to funds
being released. The WMGF Coordinator will send the Agreement to be signed.
All WMGF grantees must abide by the Promotion and Branding Guidelines. As part of
their acceptance of WMGF funding, all grantees agree to acknowledge the funding through
signage or printed materials that follow set specifications.
All project signage and marketing must include the WMGF emblem or reference the fund
using language consistent with other WMGF project marketing.
All printed outreach materials (such as brochures and signs) and promotional items
(such as t-shirts and water bottles) should include the official WMGF logo.
If the Project has its own logo, an official WMGF logo of equivalent size must also
be present.
Any social media bios for the Project must contain, “Made possible with a grant from
[tagged WMGF profile on the platform]”
Any website/webpage for the Project must contain, “Made possible with a grant from
the We Mean Green Fund”
All social media posts must tag the official WMGF accounts.
If the Project has profiles on Facebook or Instagram, once per semester, the WMGF
must be added using the “collaborate” feature; post selection is at the Project team’s
discretion.
When in doubt, consult with WMGFC for approval of messaging. All uses of university
marks and lockups must comply with UNT’s brand policy. (No longer public, how much
to include on the branding page?)
As part of their acceptance of WMGF funding, all grantees agree to meet WMGFC reporting
requirements. Grantees who do not meet reporting requirements in a timely manner may
be ineligible to receive further funding.
All projects must have a mechanism for evaluation and follow-up after funds have been
dispersed. At a minimum, grantees must submit a progress report every semester and
a final report within 30 days of concluding the project. The Progress Report and Final
Report templates include specific progress questions, a budget outlining how all funds
have been spent, a Scorecard update to track project metrics, and high-quality project
photographs. If a project is expected to have on-going benefits such as annual cost
savings, in the initial application the grantee should have included a mechanism for
tracking, recording, and reporting these benefits back to the WMGFC.
For final project submission, you may either use the scorecard or an alternative means
of showcasing your project results such as:
A presentation of your project's findings / results to the WMGFC
A paper you've written on your project's findings / results
A minimum of two photos are required for progress reports with an option to submit
up to five. A minimum of five photos are required for the final report with an option
to submit up to 10. Photos will be used for our website, social media, annual reports,
presentations, etc. and must be high quality photos.
Photographs should tell the story of the project by depicting the project participants
innaction, the transformation process (before, during, and after photographs), and/or
campus community members using the improvement(s).
Individuals appearing in the photograph should agree to be photographed with the understanding
these photographs may be used in WMGF materials.
Photographs should be free of any commericalized branding except the University of
Texas brand, the WMGF, and/or the brand of the WMGF Project. This includes ensuring
those individuals in the photograph are not wearing t-shirts with large logos etc.
Any props should comply with this requirement as well.
Photographs should be taken - when possible - with enough space in the final image
to be cropped to fit the website and/or other materials. If for example, you are photographing
the installation of a piece of equipment, be sure to include a shot with the equipment
centered in the frame with enough space to each side for the final image to be cropped
either in landscape or portrait format. Avoid panoramic and square photographs.
Submit photographs of the highest quality possible in either jpg or png format.
To ensure quality shots, we recommend taking several shots from different angles and
selecting the best for submission.
Consider the lighting. When necessary use a flash. When possible avoid having people
squinting into the sun. When possible avoid harsh shadows.
If you need assistance photographing your WMGF project, please submit a photo request
with the Division of Student Affairs below.
