The coronavirus pandemic and resulting facility closures have created obstacles to students pursuing postgraduate education. The University of North Texas is offering alternatives to on-campus admissions testing and orientation.

Admissions Testing

UNT is offering the Texas Success Initiative Assessment, better known as the TSI test, in virtual formats.

Testing at UNT is not just for incoming UNT students, but is available for any students through UNT's Testing Center.

Click here for more information on testing.

UNT Admissions Acceptance

Students who plan to attend UNT in the fall but were unable to take the SAT or ACT entrance exams can be accepted through the review process.

The top 20 percent of students who are part of the Eagle Advantage Program will automatically be accepted, and students with at least a 3.0 grade-point average will be looked upon favorably.

However, students who were not able to take the SAT or ACT need take the TSI test before enrolling in classes. Click here for more information on testing.

UNT Orientation

UNT will conduct transfer and freshman orientations this summer, but orientations scheduled through the end of July will be held in a virtual format.

Incoming UNT students are encouraged to register for orientation and housing, if applicable, as soon as possible so they can have the best choices for classes and on-campus residences.
