What did you want to be when you were growing up?

A librarian, an archaeologist, or a writer.

Other than your current job, what careers have you held?

I worked in a large hotel/conference center and progressed from front-desk agent to front office manager to conference services coordinator.

When you were in high school, how did you choose your career path?

I took a journalism class and fell in love with reporting, writing, and editing. I studied journalism at UNT, hoping to become a reporter for a newspaper or magazine.

Who inspires you?

Michelle Obama. I admire her passion for what she believes in.

What three traits best describe you?

Caring, loyal, outgoing.

What are your skills or talents that most people don’t know about?

I collect new and vintage vinyl records. I have about 300.

What's your favorite place in the world?

Oahu, Hawaii.

If you could visit any place you’ve never been, where would you go?

Italy.

What do you enjoy when you're not working?

Hiking, concerts, reading and attending my book club, visiting museums, cooking, watching movies with my husband and pets, drinks on the patio with friends.

What are your favorite books and/or movies?

BOOKS: - Becoming by Michelle Obama, Educated by Tara Westover, The Library Book by Susan Orlean, Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris, anything by Carl Hiaasen or Riley Sager. MOVIES: The Princess Bride, This is Spinal Tap, Shaun of the Dead, Goodfellas, Harry Potter

Who is your favorite musician/band?

Vampire Weekend, Spoon, Dr. Dog, Beyonce, and Run the Jewels.

What is your favorite meal?

Vegan flautas from Pepitas in Denton.
