What did you want to be when you were growing up?

When I was younger, I used to say I wanted to be a firefighter or a registered nurse because my mom was one.

What career are you working toward?

My goal is to be an Ob/GYN, a doctor that specializes in fetal medicine.

When you were in high school, how did you choose your career path?

I took courses like principles of health since public service was one of my endorsements. In my junior year, I interviewed for the clinical rotation program that the health science department at my school provided. The program helped us gain hands-on experience in different healthcare careers and eventually work towards a PCT license.

Who inspires you?

I think this is something I'm still trying to figure out for myself. When people see someone that looks like them working toward such a huge goal, it's powerful. I can say that, as a member of the black community, I want to pursue and represent us in the healthcare field.

What three traits best describe you?

Trustworthy, Understanding, and Optimistic.

What are your skills or talents that most people don't know about?

I'm a good listener, and I can throw it down in the kitchen... sometimes.

What's your favorite place in the world?

My room.

If you could visit any place you've never been, where would you go?

Any island outside of the U.S.

What do you enjoy when you're not working or studying?

I have a bad spending habit, but it's retail therapy.

What are your favorite books and/or movies?

In middle school, I used to be an avid reader and was obsessed with the Divergent book series.

Who is your favorite musician/band?

I love Kehlani and Megan and Drake at the moment.

What is your favorite meal?

Vietnamese Pho with fresh veggie rolls!
