What did you want to be when you were growing up?
A designer with Jim Henson studios or a football coach.
Other than your current job, what careers did you work toward?
Something in visual arts/design and/or education.
When you were in high school, how did you choose your career path?
I wanted to go to art school, but I compromised with my folks on career direction by getting a teaching certificate. Fourteen years later, I’m still in education.
Who inspires you?
The artist Banksy, my daughter, and Yoda.
What three traits best describe you?
Patient, creative, and easy-going.
What are your skills or talents that most people don’t know about?
I'm artistic.
What's your favorite place in the world?
A mountain view from the water I’m fishing in.
If you could visit any place you’ve never been, where would you go?
Thailand or New Zealand
What do you enjoy when you're not working or studying?
Outdoors, sports, and making art.
What are your favorite books and/or movies?
BOOKS: The Road by Cormac McCarthy and The Tao of Pooh by Benjamin Hoff. MOVIES: all of the Star Wars series.
Who is your favorite musician/band?
I don't have a favorite, but I like Sturgill Simpson, The Black Keys, and Aesop Rock.
What is your favorite meal?
A good cheeseburger.
