It takes a lot of preparation to welcome a new freshman class. Orientation and Transition Programs have been hard at work making sure incoming students, and their families, get a sneak peek at what it means to be part of the Mean Green Family. Orientation and Transition Programs:

	Hosted 28 orientations sessions,
Greeted 10,938 students and 2,465 families,
	Organized 442 campus tours, and
Served more than 44,436 individual meals.

What did families learn during the two-day sessions? Everything. Sessions included academic expectations, college success, career readiness, and student services and programs. Students and families were greeted with a resource fair, where they learned about student organizations and opportunities, photo shoots and, of course, UNT Mean Green T-shirts. There were residence hall tours, campus tours, and plenty of fun.

New student orientations play a pivotal role in introducing our incoming Eagles to the community, establishing the groundwork for them to discover their unique niche and establish a strong sense of belonging.
