Learning Center 

The Learning Center is staffed with academic counselors and tutors that are here to help and support students with their academics. They provide individual and group tutoring in a wide range of subjects and sponsor special classes for things like speed reading, improving your study skills and how to get into graduate school.

Student Veteran Services 

Student Veteran Services is staffed by knowledgeable and experienced student veterans that will answer all of your questions and help you process your GI Bill and Hazelwood Act benefits. Here you will find active duty, reservists and veteran peer mentors from every branch of the military with information on the Student Veterans Association, Salute Honor Society and resources such as Job Fairs and Veterans Day activities. 

Transfer Center 

The Transfer Center helps students successfully transition to UNT.  Staffed by Transfer Ambassadors, they assist with the needs of transfer students by helping them connect with the UNT community, directing them to various resources and providing helpful and lasting connections with other transfer students. 

Career Center 

The Career Center provides individual career counseling and advising, assistance in finding permanent positions following completion of your degree plan, and assists UNT alumni with career decisions and employment transitions. They offer seminars and classroom presentations, special events, and maintain the online employment opportunity database, Eagle Careers. Student Health and Wellness Center 

The UNT Student Health and Wellness Center is located just east of the Pohl Recreation Center on the corner of Avenue D and Chestnut Street. Here a staff of qualified doctors, nurses and licensed healthcare professionals provide primary health services to UNT students. You can get exams and prescriptions for common illnesses, x- rays, flu shots, women’s health services, health and nutrition counseling, psychiatric exams, lab work and other general health services. The Student Health and Wellness Center is a great alternative to your standard healthcare provider when you need basic health services. Student Legal Services 

Student Legal Services provides UNT students with free legal advice, assistance, education and representation. Student Legal Services does not represent students in criminal cases, but will offer legal counseling and referrals for criminal cases. Representation is offered for civil matters ranging from evictions to auto accidents to consumer issues. This office also offers legal document preparation, legal correspondence and may act as a mediator in employment disputes. Staffed with qualified licensed attorneys and legal professionals, this no cost legal service is a great resource for students. Student Legal Services can be reached at 940-565-2614.

Office of Disability Access 

The Office of Disability Access (ODA) works to prevent discrimination on the basis of disability. They determine eligibility for accommodation of qualified students by reviewing disability-related medical and psychological documentation along with the student's individual experiences and determine the appropriate and reasonable accommodations that are recommended to the campus. As part of this process, the office strives to facilitate the development of students through independence and autonomy. The office complements this mission by providing leadership in the areas of equal access and advocacy for students with disabilities.

Counseling and Testing Services 

The Counseling and Testing Services Center strives to support the academic success and general well-being of UNT students through professional counseling, career counseling, consultation, mental-health screenings, educational programs and self-help resources as well as referral services. They will consult with students, parents, faculty and staff who may be concerned about a UNT student (while still respecting the confidentiality of the client). With client permission, they often work closely with physicians and psychiatrists, the Career Center, Office of Disability Accommodation, and many other helpful resources in order to provide the best overall care. UNT Rec Center 

There is no need for a gym membership when you discover the UNT Rec Center. Free to all UNT students, this modern recreation center offers everything a full-service gym offers and more. Weight rooms, cardio equipment, aquatics, group exercise and fitness programs, a climbing wall, tennis courts, experienced trainers and coaches, intramural sports and much more. During the fall and spring semesters, the Rec Center is open until midnight on most nights.

Student Discounts 

Businesses all around Denton offer student discounts with your college ID. From movie tickets to bowling alleys to the many bars, coffee shops and retail stores in the city, always ask for a student discount wherever you shop.

Discount Software 

The UNT Bookstore, located in the University Union, first floor, offers special student pricing on all basic computer software. Free Sports and Event Tickets 

All UNT students can attend any home sporting event free of charge with their student ID. Come out and see the Mean Green football team take on Conference USA in the new, state-of-the-art Apogee Stadium, or watch the always-impressive Mean Green Basketball teams rock the Super Pit. Every semester, UNT offers world-class concerts, lectures, films and performances free of charge to its students. From former Presidents and world leaders to the biggest names in music, and performance art, UNT offers the best free entertainment and learning experiences in all of North Texas.
