About Eagle Camp
Not to be confused with Freshman Orientation, Eagle Camp is the next step in a smooth transition to UNT and the Denton community. Eagle Camp is a great opportunity for you to make new friends, learn UNT traditions, and enter into your first year of college with confidence and feeling like a part of the UNT family! You will also meet student leaders who will help you feel ready as you start college as part of the Mean Green family!

The camp fee covers transportation to and from camp, lodging for one night, three meals, a camp t-shirt, and all activities. Payment should be submitted online when you register.

Eagle Camp is hosted at Camp Copass in Denton, TX. Students ride buses from the UNT campus to Camp Copass, where they stay in air-conditioned, furnished cabins.
Transportation & Event Logistics
A bus will take students to Camp Copass for Eagle Camp. Students will be expected to check-in for camp during a designated time and bring all of their overnight belongings. A bus will also bring the group back to campus on Saturday afternoon prior to the North Texas football game.
Students who intend to register with the Office of Disability Accommodation (ODA) under the terms of ADA/504, or who request accommodations for Eagle Camp should include necessary information on their Eagle Camp registration. Dietary restrictions should also be included on the form.
Medical Information and Release Form
There will be a nurse on staff at Eagle Camp to help with any minor injuries of incidents that could occur. All Eagle Camp participants are required to complete a Medical Information and Release Form prior to leaving for camp. If a participant is under the age of 18, the form must be completed by a parent or guardian.
Refund and Cancellation Policy
Refund requests must be made in writing and received by an Orientation & Transition Programs Staff member no later than one week prior to Camp. There will be NO refunds issued after this date. Refunds will be credited to the original card used to register.
Cancellation requests must be made by the student in writing online (using the cancellation form). No cancellations will be taken by phone. It is the student’s responsibility to contact the Orientation and Transition Programs Staff no later than one week prior to camp in order to cancel and receive a refund. There will be NO refunds issued after this date.
