About Eagle Camp

Not to be confused with Freshman Orientation, Eagle Camp is the next step in a smooth transition to UNT and the Denton community. Eagle Camp is a great opportunity for you to make new friends, learn UNT traditions, and enter into your first year of college with confidence and feeling like a part of the UNT family! You will also meet student leaders who will help you feel ready as you start college as part of the Mean Green family!

Eagle Camp Fee

The camp fee covers transportation to and from camp, lodging for two nights, six meals, a camp t-shirt, and all activities. Payment must be submitted at time of registration to reserve your spot at Eagle Camp.

Early Bird Price (before July 1) $175
Regular Price (after July 1) $200
Financial Assistance

If cost is a barrier to your decision to attend Eagle Camp, you can apply for financial assistance through our program. Financial assistance applications must be received no later than Friday, July 27, 2018. The financial assistance form can be found on the "forms" tab in the right menu bar.

Students attending Eagle Camp are required to stay the night at Camp Copass. No outside guests will be allowed to participate alongside you.

Parking & Transportation

Individuals attending Eagle Camp should park in Eagle Lot 27 (across from Clark Hall). Please avoid faculty/staff spaces, reserved, metered, and garage parking. The bus to Eagle Camp will leave from Clark Park, near lot 27. The bus will drop students off at the same location on Sunday afternoon. Click here to view a UNT campus parking map (pdf)


Students who intend to register with the Office of Disability Accommodation (ODA) under the terms of ADA/504, or who request accommodations for Eagle Camp should include necessary infomation on their Eagle Camp registration. Dietary restrictions should also be included on the form.

Medical Information and Release Form

There will be a nurse on staff at Eagle Camp to help with any minor injuries of incidents that could occur. All Eagle Camp participants are required to complete a Medical Information and Release Form prior to leaving for camp. If a participant is under the age of 18, the form must be completed by a parent or guardian.
