TRIO Programs Education Background: Bachelor’s Management, Master’s Higher Education Why did you decide to work for TRIO? As a first-generation college student, I found it challenging to find the support resources, asking the right questions, and staying motivated to complete my degree. During this time, I developed a passion to help others in my similar situation. I began working as a work-study student in the academic advising area and from there to admissions and outreach. Through an outreach program, I began to help more first-generation college students. My next position led me to TRIO and I have enjoyed working with TRIO students for over 10 years. What is your favorite place on campus? Why? The Library Mall where there is always activity Personal Fun Fact: I love to compete.
