Changes to UNT Student Money Management Center Services During the COVID-19 Situation

As the state and university expend reopening efforts, the center will resume in-person service to students on JULY 6. We will continue to provide access to all our services remotely for the convenience of students unable or prefer not to come into campus. Please be patient with us. This is not only a learning experience adjusting to a new normal, but a dynamic process that is subject to change. We remain committed to making the safety of students and our team a priority.

Hours of Operation:

  • Monday-Thursday 8 am to 5 pm (In-Person)
  • Monday-Friday 8 am to 5 pm (Remotely)

Coaching Appointments

Our Financial Wellness Program provides one-on-one coaching sessions to students and can be scheduled in-person, via phone, or Zoom video conferencing. We help students understand their financial situations and explore options and resources. Our goal is to ensure students have the tools they need to succeed in their personal financial lives today and in the future. All coaching sessions are confidential. Emergency Assistance Program

The loan-based Fall 2020 Eagle Support Emergency Assistance Program will open on AUGUST 17, with a repayment date of NOV 2. Applicants will need to be enrolled in the Fall semester and secure a guaranteed repayment source to ensure the repayment date is met. The application process can be completed in-person or entirely online at this time. For more information.


For students who received Summer 2020 emergency assistance loans from the center with an original repayment date of August 3 and need some extra time to repay their loans, these accounts have been granted an automatic repayment extension to AUGUST 20, 2020. With many students sharing concerns about financial uncertainty as employers modify their operations and reduce hours, the center will also waive the $25.00 late fee set for the original repayment deadline of August 3 for these accounts.

Scheduling Class Talks & Presentations

Requests for class talks and presentations can be made online. Our Financial Readiness Program provides outreach and educational services. We have transitioned to a completely online presence during this time to support our educational events such as workshops, class presentations, activities, and other special events. We also offer fun and informative podcasts that are available on multiple platforms such as Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Buzzsprout, Youtube, and more.
