Money Master Volunteer Program

The Money Master Volunteer certification program is recognized by the University of North Texas and the Denton County Extension Agency. Becoming a master volunteer prepares participants to give back to their community by teaching the fundamentals of; personal finance basics, adult learning, and presentation skills.  

Becoming a Money Master Volunteer requires:

  • 40 hours of training (see schedule)
  • 40 hours of service hours within a year after the training is completed
  • $50 course fee, inclusive of training materials and meals at Saturday trainings

Training:

40 hours of training is provided in person and online, important training dates are:

  • Saturday Sept. 10th,  9:00-3:00p.m.  UNT campus lunch will be provided
  • Saturday October 8th, 9:00-3:00p.m.
  • Saturday Nov. 12th, 9:00-2:00p.m.
  • Every other Tuesday during the Fall semester. 5:30-7:30pm on campus

Online training, assignments given and completed prior to each training meeting

Volunteer Hours:

Upon the completion of training you will be considered an intern. Upon completing 40 hours of service you will be a Money Master Volunteer. Hours can be completed through community presentations, creation of materials, community resource events, and much more. More details about completing training hours will be provided.

Being a certified Money Master volunteer has many benefits:
