Student organizations are required to attend organization orientation once per school year in order to register with Student Activities. That means that Fall 2020 orientation attendance will count for both Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 registration. Similarly, attendance in Spring 2020 does not count for Fall 2020 - Spring 2021 registration. For organizations electing new officers in Spring, we strongly encourage that they send an officer (or multiple) to orientation.
At least one current officer (as indicated in the organization's OrgSync profile) must attend orientation.
- For student organizations advised by the Center for Fraternity and Sorority Life and Rec Sports, the president (or equivalent leader) or risk manager (or equivalent leader) must attend.
- For all other student organizations, any officer may attend. Preferably one who has never attended before,
Advisors are encouraged, but not required, to attend.
Orientation topics include basic OrgSync training, campus policies, risk management (as required by the Texas Education Code), and resources. Officers must be present for the entire duration of the orientation session in order for their organization to receive credit towards registration.
Links for the following orientations will be available below right before the session begins. Do not click on the link until 5 minutes before a session's start time. It is important to log in slightly beforehand to fill out a short survey prior to being admitted into the session.
Virtual Orientation Dates are for Current (including those in Fraternity & Sorority Life) and New Orgs
Fall 2021 orientation dates and times will be available soon.
