Why is Union Circle under construction?

The city of Denton is renovating Union Circle to install new water utilities, repair sidewalks around the Union Circle perimeter and redo the road.  Once reopened traffic will reverse. Instead of going clockwise, traffic will flow counterclockwise, entering Chestnut Street and exiting onto Prairie Street. You can find info and updates here as construction continues.

Union & Other Updates

Dining in the Union (Summer)
This summer, Chick-Fil-A is closed due to Union Circle being closed for food deliveries. The Chat Food Court will be open as well as Starbucks. View Dining hours and what is available here.
 
Eagle Post Updates & Locations

Eagle Post will still be open this summer!
There will be the Eagle Post Union location and the Temp. Goolsby Chapel Location. 

Most mail will still be available for pick up at Eagle Posts main location in the Union. 

Oversized, Heavy, and/or Tall packages will be available for Pickup at Goolsby Chapel.
Please check your email for location pickup.

MON-FRI: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
SAT & SUN: Closed

Temp. Goolsby Chapel Location

Goolsby Chapel Updates

Goolsby Chapel is being used as a temporary Eagle Post drop off location and Oversized, Heavy , and/or Tall package pickup location.

Meditation space will not be available at Goolsby during this time.
A meditation room available for use on Level 4 of the Union and is open when the Union is open.

Union Accessibility & Sidewalks

Due to construction, some sidewalks may be altered or closed off during this time. If going to the Union from the temporary bus stops, please enter the Union through the south entrance located near the Scrappy Bench.

Parking & Accessable Parking

The Union Circle Garage (UCG) will be closed during construction. Faculty/Staff spaces will move to Highland Street Garage (HSG) during this time. F/S lots 50 & 37 will remain open during this time. Visitors to the University Union may also pay to park in the HSG.

Accessible Parking: Construction on campus has resulted in changes to parking lots. Reach out to transportation.services@unt.edu or call 940-565-3020 to discuss an individualized plan for accessible parking.
