BYOB (Bring Your Own Bottle)

Each academic year, Student Activities hosts four large campus-wide events that serve roughly 22,000 drinks to students. This means the production and use of approximately 22,000 plastic cups. In 2016, the We Mean Green Fund funded the purchase of 3,000 reusable bottles that were distributed at EarthFest. Providing students with these environmentally sustainable items helped promote the use of reusable bottles and the reduction of single-use waste produced on UNT's campus. 

This project was first proposed in the spring of 2016, with the support of Student Activities and the We Mean Green Fund department. It was implemented during the 2015 - 2016 fiscal year.
