Sustainability Hackathon

The We Mean Green Fund + Innovation Greenhouse Sustainability Hackathon was hosted to support students in developing campus sustainability project ideas. The hackathon was an ideal opportunity to engage with students about sustainability and generate potentially fundable projects through the We Mean Green Fund. Students that participated attended educational lectures on sustainability topics and connected with sustainability experts who could advise their project proposal development. Access to these experts and exposure to project development exercises provided students with a great learning experience and an opportunity to become project leaders on the proposals they invented during the hackathon.   

This project was proposed in January of 2016, with the support of the We Mean Green Fund and UNT's College of Arts & Science's Innovation Greenhouse. It was implemented during the spring of 2016.
