Jessica Matsumori

Bio: Jessica recently graduated from UNT in May 2021 with a specialization in advertising. Formerly a student assistant at DS Creative, the in-house agency at Dining Services, she is now a project manager. She is a true foodie and loves that she gets to help promote the improvement of dining experiences on campus. She is always seeking a new adventure and enjoys playing games, watching travel videos and finding new hangout spots. She is also a big fan of dogs and has an American Eskimo. As a project manager, Jessica helps oversee marketing tasks from their initial ideation through completion. She coordinates processes so that the creative team can produce high-quality deliverables for various projects at UNT Dining Services, from things as small as label production to as large as branding a new dining facility.

What does your role entail/what do you do: "My role entails overseeing projects from the initial ideation through completion. I help coordinate processes so that our creative team can produce high-quality deliverables for various projects at UNT Dining Services, from things as small as label production to as large as branding a new dining facility."

What is your favorite part about working at UNT: "My favorite part about working at UNT is UNT's commitment to inclusivity. I love that at UNT, particularly at this department, people from all places and all walks of life are able to work together."

How have UNT students impacted your life: "UNT students make work so fun! Having just recently graduated myself, we are able to relate on a personal level. They inspire me to work hard to serve them, as many of them are juggling loads of stuff in order to pursue their dreams. Their dedication is amazing!"

Fun fact about you: "I love learning new languages and have committed to learning a country's language on a basic level first before I go visit! Next on the list is Japan, Korea, and France."
