Close to 80% of students who received counseling services experienced improvement in the quality of their college experience. Over 70% reported that student counseling services helped them stay enrolled.

College can be an exciting and scary time. In a new environment and away from home, students feel lonely, stressed or anxious. UNT's Counseling and Testing Services provides free counseling services to students, and with no waitlist.

In the past year, CTS reported 10,000 personal appointments for students and offered 36 workshops and special events, giving close to 1,500 students access to no-appointment-needed mental health programming. Close to 80% of students who received CTS services experienced improvement in the quality of their college experience. More than 70% reported CTS services helped them stay enrolled as compared to peer institutions nationally (65%).

Student Counseling provides free, comprehensive psychological services to all UNT students, including individual counseling, crisis counseling, and groups and workshops. Trained clinicians can work with students to develop a tailored plan specific to the student and their mental wellbeing. There are also online resources, including Togetherall, an online peer-to-peer mental health support platform. Visit studentcounseling.unt.edu for more information.
