Leadership, Service and Tradition at UNT

Chartered in June 1978, the Beta Xi Chapter of Order of Omega at the University of North Texas has been a cornerstone of leadership and service within the campus Fraternity and Sorority Life community. Representing the top 3% of UNT’s FSL members, Beta Xi continues to uphold the values of excellence and unity.

Membership in UNT’s Order of Omega is open to sophomores, juniors and seniors who demonstrate outstanding leadership, academic achievement, and commitment to the Greek community. For more information, email the Fraternity and Sorority Life.

Signature Programs

  • Greek 101: A new member education initiative facilitated each semester to foster informed, engaged, and responsible Greek life participation.
  • Greek Awards: Held every spring, this event celebrates the achievements of chapters and individuals who exemplify leadership and service.
  • Operation Turkey Dinner: An annual fall canned food drive supporting local families during the Thanksgiving season.

Honoring Greek Leaders Since 1959

Order of Omega is a prestigious leadership honor society that recognizes the top fraternity and sorority members across campuses in the United States, Canada, and the Bahamas. Founded at the University of Miami in 1959, the organization was created to honor those who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, scholarship, and service within the Greek community.

With over 580 chapters and more than 300,000 members initiated, Order of Omega continues to celebrate the best and brightest in Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL). Membership is selective with only the top 3% of Greek-affiliated students on each campus are eligible, ensuring that those inducted truly represent excellence in character, leadership, and involvement.
