Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL)
Since 1952, the University of North Texas Fraternity and Sorority Life community has
been a viable and integral part of campus life. With four councils consisting of 38
fraternities and sororities, our Fraternity and Sorority Life community offers a unique
and lifelong involvement experience. Membership in a fraternity or sorority can be
one of the most significant experiences for a college student.
Fraternity and Sorority Life is more than wearing letters.
It's about finding your place and people. It’s where lifelong friendships are formed, academics are supported, and personal growth is encouraged. UNT’s Fraternity and Sorority Life is where you build strong connections and are part of a community that gives back and lifts each other up. This is where your college experience begins. This is where you belong.

I was hesitant to join because of the cost. But I looked into what fraternity life had to offer, like the leadership opportunities, and decided to try. What I’ve received is ten times what I put in financially. If it weren’t for my fraternity, I wouldn’t be part of the community at all. It really is about lifelong friendships. You always have somebody.
Councils and Chapters
Fraternity and Sorority Life is a launchpad for leadership, service and lifelong friendships.
Our chapters uphold strong academic values, give back to the community through philanthropy,
and connect you to a national network of influential and visionary alumni.
The Collegiate Panhellenic Council is the governing body of the eight National Panhellenic Conference affiliated sororities
at UNT.
The Interfraternity Council is the governing body of the 12 IFC fraternities on campus. The IFC promotes shared interests
and values of member fraternities.
The Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) is the overarching entity representing the recognized culturally based fraternities and
sororities. MGC membership is open to all students, regardless of cultural background.
The National Pan-Hellenic Council is a collaborative umbrella council, also known
as the Divine Nine. The NPHC engages in cooperative programming and initiatives across its sororities
and fraternities.

Fraternity and Sorority Life at UNT is your gateway to leadership, service, and lifelong
friendships. Whether you're looking to make an impact, find your community, or grow
personally and professionally, there's a place for you here.
The Greek Graduation Ceremony includes all fraternity and sorority students who graduate
at the end of the semester.
The Greek Programming Board organizes Greek Week. During this week, Greek community
members come together to show the University how great it is to be Greek.
The Greek Leadership Certificateis a program designed to develop and enhance leadership
skills among members of the fraternity and sorority community.
The Greek Awards Ceremony is an annual tradition held to honor excellence in performance,
scholarship, service, and leadership in the previous year.
Fraternity and Sorority Life Alumni
Your time at UNT may have ended, but your fraternity or sorority experience is just
getting started. Whether you crossed in the '80s or just tossed your cap last spring,
you're part of a deep-rooted legacy. UNT Fraternity and Sorority alumni are making
