Erika is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, supervised by Lilliesha Grandberry, M.Ed, LPC-S. Erika is a first-generation college graduate and a UNT alumna. She earned both her B.S. in Integrative Studies (concentrations in Psychology, Business and Art) and M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, from the University of North Texas. She has worked at UNT in various departments, including TRIO Student Support Services and College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (C.L.A.S.S.) Advising. In addition to her work with the college population, Erika has counseling experience in intensive outpatient (IOP) and residential treatment, community settings, group therapy, substance use and behavioral addictions. Some of Erika's clinical interests include grief/loss, interpersonal relationships, anxiety, group therapy, addictions, First-Generation college students, expressive arts, and spirituality. Erika believes in empowering individuals through a client-centered approach and by providing a safe, affirming, therapeutic space for clients.
