2024 will mark the 26th year of Mean Green Fling! Each year approximately 7,500 Students and 300+ student organizations, campus departments, and off-campus sponsors gather to welcome students back to campus.

What is Mean Green Fling?

An opportunity to say farewell to summer and hello to a new school year, by gaining connections with multiple student organizations and businesses that are guaranteed to make UNT and Denton feel like home!

Mean Green Fling will be held at the Library Mall, South Lawn, North Green and University Union.

All students enrolled at UNT for Fall 2024!

Your opportunity to meet and tell over 7,500 students about your business or organization is here! Sponsorship at the 2024 Mean Green Fling allows your business or organization to interact with UNT students and share more about what you do. For more information, please reference the Sponsorship Packet below prior to registering.

Non-Profits & Local Denton Businesses

Students attending UNT can benefit greatly from experiencing all of the local and non-profit entities that make Denton unique and special. To encourage participation in Mean Green Fling, we are offering the following specials:

Local Denton businesses can sponsor Mean Green Fling for just $250! This special is available for entities that are local to Denton, with limited locations elsewhere; entities that are independently and locally owned/operated; and entities that are not franchises
Non-profit organizations can sponsor Mean Green Fling for just $50! Organizations must be able to prove 501(c)3 non-profit status
If you are unsure if your company qualifies for either of these special offers, please contact Aisa Terry at aisa.terry@unt.edu

Registered student organizations will have the opportunity to table at Mean Green Fling free of charge. This year's event will take place on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM. You have the opportunity to sign up for a table to promote your organization. Spacing is limited and assigned on a first come, first served basis. Please see registration information below!

Sign Ups

Registered Student Organizations, last registered in the Fall 2023-Spring 2024 school year, will have no prerequisite requirements and can sign up for Mean Green Fling at any time (Click Here for the Registered Student Organization list)
Sign Ups could potentially close early if all the available spots fill up, tables are not guaranteed upon sign up

Event Information

All event information will be sent to the contact listed on the organization's sign-up submission. If you have not received final details, please reach out to your organization's president or Mean Green Fling representative
Check-In is required and must be complete between 3:00 PM and 4:30 PM, failure to meet this deadline will result in a forfeit of your table
Be sure to bring a refillable water bottle or cooler of water bottles for your table, it will be hot

Volunteers are an essential part of Mean Green Fling, we couldn't host an event this large without you! Individuals may even earn volunteer/service hours for their help with this event!
