Transfer Communities

UNT Transfer Communities are a great way for new and continuing transfer students to get involved! Each community is lead by Peer Mentors and varies in theme, meeting date, and schedule of events. These communities provide opportunities for students to connect with peers, build a network of students with similar interest, learn from our Peer Mentors and UNT staff, get the full UNT/Denton experience, and make our large institution feel a bit smaller! If you are interested in our Fall 2017 Transfer Communities are: TRANSFERmation and Master Your Mind. Please register today or contact our office at (940)-369-7287 or transfer@unt.edu for more information.

Are you interested in developing leadership skills, making an impact on your community, or surrounding yourself with like-minded individuals who are also new UNT transfer students?
If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, then the TRANSFERmation: Leadership & Service Transfer Community is the campus community for you!
TRANSFERmation, brought to you by UNT's Transfer Center and Center for Leadership and Service, will meet weekly for a 10-week leadership workshop series on Fridays from 2:00 - 4:00 PM.
Other events such as the All for NT Leadership Conference, Make a Difference Day, and community service projects planned by the community will take place on various weekends throughout the semester!

Join us this fall as we launch our first academic success oriented Transfer Community!
Get ahead of the crowd by getting a handle on the resources you’ll need to excel at UNT! This community is perfect for you if you want to familiarize yourself with academic resources, get better grades, learn more about yourself, and connect with new transfer students like you. We will explore different tutoring services, practice different studying techniques, and take personality tests like MBTI and StrengthsQuest, all to help you succeed!
During our first meeting we will hand out a study kit with supplies and at the end, members who have attended 8 of our meetings will receive an EXCLUSIVE t-shirt to reward their hard work during the semester. We will also end our community with a party!
This community meets Wednesdays from 4:00-5:00pm, and will have study nights with free pizza throughout the semester. Even if you are confident in your academic abilities, this community has something useful for everyone!
