WHY ORIENTATION AND TRANSITION PROGRAMS?
The University of North Texas is focused on the retention and overall success of our students. Through Orientation and Transition Programs, resources and services are provided to help you establish and attain your educational goals. Beginning with your first year, our office serves as a central location to help you connect with your peers, faculty, staff, and parents. These connections can help guide and direct you through your experiences at UNT.
First Flight Week
First Flight is UNT's official welcome week program. This week is designed to help
new students begin their college experience on the right foot.
Access Mentoring
The ACCESS Mentoring Program is designed to provide students with the opportunity
to connect with a member of UNT’s faculty or staff as well as a peer mentor.
Family Weekend
Family Weekend is the first big event of the year for students and their families.
Transfer Center
UNT Transfer Center is here to help prospective, new and continuing transfer students
transition to and through UNT by helping students connect to the university and point
them in the direction of campus resources and services.
Pre-College Programs
Welcome to Pre-College Programs! High School Juniors and Seniors can attend workshops, specialized tours, and programs on campus to start the transition early.
