What's an identity you're proud to share with others at UNT: I am a proud queer woman!
What does your role entail/what do you do: I am one of the Survivor Advocate in the Dean of students. My role consists of assisting
students who have been impacted by violence, trauma, or harassment, and pride myself
on creating an environment where all survivors, regardless of how they identify feel
safe and understood.
What is your favorite part about working at UNT: There is a real Starbucks in the union and the work environment is very supportive.
How have UNT students impacted your life: In my short amount of time here I can tell UNT students are passionate about their
education and love to see themselves represented through staff/faculty at UNT. Knowing
that students feel seen by having a queer Latina in higher education has impacted
my life.
Fun fact about you: Bob's Burgers is my all-time favorite show!
