Bio: Jim has over 35 years of military and veterans programs experience. He served over 20 years in the United States Army in numerous leadership positions, taught Military Science at three military academies, and is now retired from the Army. Jim was awarded the Bronze Star during Operation Desert Storm. Jim manages the daily activity of all programs and staff originating out of the Student Veteran Services office. He assists students in accessing support and resources both internally and externally to meet their specific needs. He serves as a student veteran advocate here on UNT's main campus.

What is your favorite part of working here at UNT?

“My favorite part of being here is working with our students.”

How have UNT students impacted your life?

“I would say it is so rewarding working with all of our students and that makes it so fun just to come to work every day.”
