Bio: I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Strategic Communication (PR & Advertising) from the University of South Alabama and a Master of Science degree in College Student Personnel from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Outside of work at UNT, I am a career development co-coordinator for the graduate student network in the Association for Orientation, Transition & Retention (NODA).

What are you proud to share with others at UNT: I am proud to be a Black and Queer student affairs professional. Being out and proud is important to me because it is something I've hidden before. I want people to feel like they can be themselves around me and exist on this campus wholeheartedly.

What does your role entail/what do you do: I am the coordinator for orientation and new student programs in the office of orientation and transition programs (OTP). In my role, I am the primary supervisor for the orientation leader team and am tasked with providing new students with programming to help them transition to campus life at UNT. In addition, I coordinate the extended orientation camp, Eagle Camp. I am excited for all the big and new things coming to First Year Experience (FYE) programming and our orientation leader program.

What is your favorite part about working at UNT: The people I work with and the students. I've gone to and worked at four institutions and UNT takes the cake. I love how connected I feel to my office, the other colleagues in the division, and students. UNT is somewhere I see myself long-term and I am excited to serve this university and mission.

How have UNT students impacted your life: In times of great resignation, people repotting, and folks finding their true calling; I have found the UNT students to be my motivation. The stories I am honored to hear, the skills they bring to the programs in our office, and the passion they have keeps me going. I have never felt so connected, loved, and valued by students than here at UNT.

Fun fact about you: A fun fact about me is I am a military brat (dependent of a service member). My father served in the Air Force for 21 years and I spent 4 years of my childhood living in England. A bonus fun fact is that I am a photographer too and have been featured in a wedding magazine in Alabama! I enjoy Target, Enneagrams, Graphic Design, Baking/Cooking, and hopping on a Delta flight to travel anywhere!
