What is your favorite part of working here at UNT?
“I think my favorite part is the creative collaboration between the students and myself. My favorite moments have always been when a group of us are brainstorming around a table and taking seemingly impossible ideas and figuring out ways to make them happen. It's truly amazing what can happen when you put a group of people from various disciplines and backgrounds together, and challenge each other to push the limits of creativity.”
How have UNT students impacted your life?
“I have been extremely fortunate to have great student employees year in and year out. I receive a lot of credit for our work, but it truly is a team effort and I always do my best to give credit where it's due. Providing an opportunity for students to learn and grow, while applying what they are actively learning in class, has been tremendous. The most rewarding experience I have ever had, because I see that development over their tenure. And to be a small part of their journey towards achieving their goals is incredible. Some of my other favorite moments are when we're all trying to learn something; we experiment, we sometimes failing, and often times succeed, but the best part is we are all doing it together. They have made me a better supervisor, a better creative, and often times a better person. In the end, I get as much out of their time here as they do.”
