Marilyn is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, having received a Master of Social Work
Degree from Arizona State University, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology/Family
Science from Brigham Young University. Her clinical experience comes from settings
in child welfare, community counseling, schools, and residential facilities. Her
clinical interests include helping individuals learn to cope and thrive while dealing
with trauma, grief, anxiety, and depression. Marilyn believes therapy should be a
safe space where healing can occur, and adopts a client-centered approach, utilizing
therapeutic techniques that best meet each person's unique needs. As Assistant Director
of Training, Marilyn provides and coordinates presentations on a variety of mental
health topics for our faculty and staff. Her personal interests include music, reading,
writing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
