The exhibition of Sugar Town by Kylie Phillips is defined by the yearning to escape
maturity and reclaim a sense of wonder. A bittersweet release from a melancholic reality
that produces a beautiful delusion. This investigation of lost innocence provides
comfort and serves as a diversion from the cruel world in which we are obligated to
survive. Our path of rediscovery proves that desperation for the past is as natural
as our apprehension towards the future.
