Taneekwa was born in Dallas, TX; and raised in Midland, TX. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from Tulane University where she competed as a full scholarship NCAA Div. I track and field student-athlete. She later earned a Master of Education (Student Development and Leadership in Higher Education) from Angelo State University. Taneekwa discovered her passion for student support services through serving first-generation/low-income students. Her previous professional experience includes student activities, student leadership development, academic advising, outreach; and diversity and inclusion. In her free time, Taneekwa enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and other family members; and coordinating community-centered programs. Other Favorite Pastimes/Interests: Travel, fine dining, fashion, attending concerts/sporting events, historical and crime biopics/documentaries, Beyonce, watching the Real Housewives of Atlanta
