All UNT students are invited to join our community!

We have a variety of ways to get involved, whether it is one-one peer mentoring, peer led group meetings, internships, or social events.

Meetings

CRP peer led group meetings are open to the UNT community. The majority of our meetings are all recovery meetings. All recovery meetings are topic based and open to any student regardless of their recovery status or type of recovery. We also have groups specific to substance use recovery and offer an Al-Anon group for students who have a family or friend with a substance use disorder.

Recovery Community

For students who want to be more involved in our recovery community beyond our group meetings, we have an application for the CRP. As a member of the CRP, students will have access to:

  • Peer Mentoring-CRP members are paired with a trained student peer mentor to meet with on a regular basis. This is an opportunity to connect with a student who also identifies as someone in recovery navigating the university experience.
  • Academic Coaching-CRP members have the option to meet with one of academic coaches to work on study skills, time management, and connect with learning resources on campus.
  • CRP Social events-Whether it is volunteering, intramural sports, dinner and movie, or our holiday gift exchange, we like to have fun and connect on and off campus.

Internships & Volunteer Activities

Each semester we offer 1-2 internship positions for students interested in learning more about peer recovery support. We also host various of volunteer activities around recovery advocacy and awareness on campus for students seeking service learning or volunteer hours. These activities vary per semester.
