Students—and their success—are the heart of our mission.
The University of North Texas (UNT) Division of Student Affairs provides opportunities
for students and the campus community to cultivate academic, personal, and professional
success. We build a foundation for all students to succeed as contributing members
in an evolving global society.
Unforeseen circumstances can disrupt the flow of college life for our students and
jeopardize their success. The Student Success Fund provides students with support
and resources enabling them to continue their studies, graduate, and thrive beyond
UNT.
The Student Success Fund is a donor-furnished fund to help remove barriers that may
hinder the success of our students. The following areas are supported by this fund,
but not limited to: • Mean Green Gowns for Grads - Graduation regalia at no cost to
students o Cleaning costs of donated regalia o Purchasing of new regalia • Suit Up
Closet - Attire for graduate, professional school or career interviews at no cost
to students o Cleaning costs of donated attire o Purchase of new attire • UNT Food
Pantry - The University of North Texas is taking action to address food insecurity
among its students, and is doing so with a vision of partnership and community building.
The Dean of Students Office has established a pantry that will provide an accessible
on-campus food source for students in need. The food pantry launched at the start
of the spring 2015 semester and is currently housed in the Union. • Immediate Impact
Initiatives - Included initiatives, but not limited to: o Student Veteran's Services
o Alternative Service Break awards o Student travel for professional and educational
conferences o Character and leadership development opportunities o Housing and Meal
plan assistance o Standardized testing fees o …and more. With your support, we can
ensure that all students have the opportunity to successfully pursue their passions
and develop to their full potential.
