When High School Career Connect was formed in 2017, its mandate was to provide career preparation services to middle school, high school and college students in Denton County. In its brief two-year history, HSCC has worked with more than 20 schools in that target area.
But HSCC has already begun to serve surrounding counties and is anticipating further expansion of its territory.
HSCC has trained staff ready to provide career education services through a variety applications such as one-to-one mentoring, small group sessions, class presentations, assemblies, and workshops/presentations for students, parents, or staff. Our presentations cover topics including endorsements, career paths, post-secondary options, jobs of the future, resumes, and career confidence.
Contact High School Career Connect to schedule a visit to your campus.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, High School Career Connect is not performing in-person presentations or in-person mentoring until further notice. However, we are still here to support your campus and students in their college and career research and planning, and we are developing remote techniques to allow access to our program content and career mentorship. If you are interested in working with us to continue providing your students and parents with career and college resources, please contact us at 940-369-5243 or email us at HScareerconnect@unt.edu.
Just because you don't attend one of HSCC's partner schools or are outside of the north Texas area doesn't mean HSCC cannot help. Contact us to schedule one-on-one mentorship to get your career planning started.
